100 Kids Now Have Christmas Gifts
This year, our community came together with a shared purpose: to make sure 100 children experienced the joy of Christmas morning through the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree initiative. Each angel represented a child with a name, age, and wish list, and behind every tag was a story that mattered. Seeing those angels taken from the tree one by one was a powerful reminder of what can happen when people choose generosity.
The Angel Tree program does more than provide gifts—it restores hope. For many families facing financial hardship, the holidays can be stressful and overwhelming. By stepping in to help, we were able to lift some of that burden and remind parents and children alike that they are not alone. A warm coat, a new toy, or a set of books may seem small, but to a child in need, it can mean everything.
What made this effort especially meaningful was how many people participated. Volunteers shopped, wrapped gifts, and gave their time with enthusiasm and care. Local supporters donated funds and supplies, ensuring that every child’s wish was thoughtfully fulfilled. It was inspiring to see compassion in action and to watch a simple idea turn into something that touched so many lives.
As we reflect on this experience, we’re filled with gratitude—for the Salvation Army’s continued work, for the generosity of our community, and for the opportunity to make a difference. Helping 100 kids receive Christmas gifts wasn’t just about the presents under the tree; it was about spreading kindness, dignity, and joy. That spirit is something we hope to carry forward well beyond the holiday season.
