Families and Loved Ones that Train Together, Stay Together

Love is in the air at ProFormance…

We love seeing families train together at ProFormance. This Valentine’s Day we were able to celebrate all of our clients that train with a significant other or family member and highlight the importance of training with those you are closest to.

Research suggests that working out with loved ones can improve relationships and bonding. When families workout together, they are modeling healthy behavior for each other and make it that much more likely to succeed in achieving health and wellness goals. One study from Duke found that moms who exercise and encourage their kids to exercise will generate healthy behaviors for the children including better eating habits and a more active lifestyle as they age.


When working out with your significant other, studies find that “nonverbal matching” improves. This is important because it creates a more emotionally attuned relationship. If things aren’t working out with your significant other, try working out!
