Major Ella Ellis of the United States Army has been a great example of what hard work and consistency can produce. He came to ProFormance when the Army created a new Combat Fitness Test that every soldier must complete. There were more advanced movements involved that he did not feel comfortable teaching himself. He linked up with Coach Alan who developed a program that would help him not just pass the test but max out in every category on that test and do so with the best technique possible.

Here is what Coach Alan had to say about Ella’s success:

I am honored to have had the opportunity for the past 2 years to work with someone as energetic, hard-working, motivated, and driven as Army Major Ella Ellis.

Ella first started training with me with the goal of passing the Army Combat Fitness Test. We decided that his training should focus on his weakest points in the test which were hand-release pushups, deadlifts, and planks.

Over the course of our training, Ella went from barely busting out 30 push-ups to exceeding 50 pushups at a time.

He went from struggling to deadlift 200lbs to maxing out at 340lbs.

In the last several weeks when the Army decided to take the pull-ups off the test and replace it with a plank, we quickly shifted gears.

His plank that couldn’t last past 1 minute improved to lasting 1:40 seconds.

All great improvements from his strong work ethic!

It has been a pleasure working with you Ella and wish you the best at your next station!
