A strong proponent of fitness as the foundation of a healthy, purposeful, and balanced life, I became a personal trainer to help others find and fulfill their unique potential. Recently retired from a 37-year career with UPS, I am excited to support others establishing new beginnings in their wellness journey. I enjoy meeting people, learning about their goals and creating adaptive strategies to overcome obstacles keeping them from a lifetime of functional fitness. Volunteer affiliations with organizations such as the Cerebral Palsy School, Special Olympics, and Home of the Innocents exposed me to the vast and varied gifts of those in our community and inspire me to seek the wisdom of others and learn from their perspectives. My twenty years of coaching experience with the Louisville Swim Association (LSA) focused on inclusion and integration of diverse populations with varying skill levels and abilities into one cohesive team. I am interested in working with anyone who wants to participate in their best life; whether you are seeking rehabilitation from the recent COVID pandemic, chronic illness or other issues challenging one’s self-confidence. Although the last year of being alone provided a chance for us to refocus, being socially isolated for extended periods of time can be detrimental to our overall health. Even the most introverted of us needs social interaction and it is important to distinguish between what it means to be alone and being lonely. Thanks to the help and expertise of a supportive team at Proformance, I look forward to customizing varied, professionally designed programs based on strong-living principles geared towards empowering you with the skills, knowledge and confidence to live your purpose.
