I began working out at ProFormance in January 2011 when I joined their first batch of boot camp classes. I was a sedentary size 10, working at a bank and eating a lot of fast food. I instantly became addicted to the boot camp classes – with the always varying workouts and super motivating trainers – after just 1 month! After adding Zumba in June 2011, I knew my workout routine was set. Between boot camp and Zumba, and finally getting my diet right, my weight finally came off. And with the support of the ProFormance trainers, I was finally able to realize my goal of getting Zumba fitness certified & have been teaching Zumba classes since October 2011. I cannot express the importance of ProFormance in my life. The trainers are wonderful: they take a personal interest in your goals and want to make sure you meet them. Since joining about 2 years ago, I have been able to get back into my size 6′s (and a few 4′s!), I’m able to teach 2 Zumba classes per week, I feel 100% better about myself, and I’ve found an entire support group full of motivated, extraordinary people in my boot camp and Zumba classes. ProFormance is truly the BEST fitness facility in Louisville!
I have been out of shape and overweight most of my adult life. It’s amazing now to look back at old photos and to realize just how big I really was. I guess I was in denial. Working with Patrick Mahoney at Proformance has truly changed my life.
Thanks to my great experience with the Proformance team and my fellow classmates, the course of my life in regards to my health has been changed forever. On top of being very physically fit as a result of the challenging workouts, I was also encouraged to change my diet which in turn helped me to lose 35lbs and take several inches off of my waist. Buying new clothes because my old ones were too big was very satisfying. I also had to get my wedding ring sized down and it felt great when the jeweler noted that it was the first time he was ever asked to make a guys wedding ring smaller because he had lost weight since he had gotten married! I am more productive at work, sleep great every night and generally feel really great as a result of the exercise and healthier diet. Making it a high priority to attend the Boot Camp class as often has possible has made a huge difference in my life. I can’t recommend the Proformance team enough!

ProFormance offers the perfect recipe for making healthier lifestyle choices through their workouts and nutrition recommendations- whether it be a group class, personal training, or online recipe suggestions. I started at ProFormance with a month of Boot Camp in September 2011. Still recovering from wrist surgery, the trainers helped me adapt some of the routines so that I could still participate while building up strength to do pushups, mountain climbers, etc. After 1 month of Boot Camp, I dropped from a 30 to 28 waist.
Joining the gym in January, the trainers created daily workouts that challenged me, and held me accountable if I missed multiple days in a row (Thanks Bert & Cary, I truly appreciate it). With their help and support, I have been able to transform my body, build muscle, and keep my body fat below 14%. Understanding that I am motivated by goals, Amy got me to compete in the Rugged Maniac, to work on mastering the muscle-up, and to consider doing a triathlon in the future! In my book – the ProFormance team gets an A+!

Hey Campers, I am one of the “older” campers in the group. I started in January with a groupon offer and I am still going! I was apprehensive about the intensity of the class at first, but I stayed with it! Now, I love this class! Actually, I hate going to class because it is tough, but after I am finished, I LOVE IT! I feel great! My body is getting in shape, I have more energy, I am stronger and I am eating healthy. And, I have lost 20 pounds! You should give it a try. If it is not for you, okay, but I suspect you will like the results!
I have been coming to boot camp since the first class and actually love it. Except for vacations, I have not missed any classes and look forward to the workout. I have lost 20 or more pounds and gone down 2 or 3 sizes. I have encouraged 1 friend to join so far and am working on a few others. Having a friend to work out with keeps us both more committed to coming. Even though it’s a tough work out, I encourage everyone to hang in there and I guarantee the results will be worth it. Join for a year. It’s a great deal.

I am working on my 3rd month of bootcamp and I absolutely love it! It truly has changed my life! I feel so strong and after each workout I just feel amazing. It gives you a really good feeling of accomplishment and it will definitely transform your body. I have so much definition all over my body in just 2 months. My clothes are falling off of me and my friends and fiancé definitely see a huge difference. Having a friend there really does make a difference, but I just want to encourage anyone who is still a little unsure. Hope to see everyone there.
I love doing Zumba at ProFormance because it is an intense, upbeat workout, disguised as a dance party! You can have fun working out and dancing without being worried someone else is going to criticize. You can just do your best and have fun! It’s just a lot of fun!
Everybody is very helpful and very upbeat. The facility is easy to reach from my downtown office. Zumba is fun, easy to learn and I was energized after the first week. Thank you for offering it!
Being a newbie to ProFormance’s Zumba class is the best thing I have ever decided to do. My thighs even agree the next couple days after a class, but no pain no gain!
I have been “Zumbaing” for a couple of years and think my co-instructors are fabulous. I didn’t think anyone (and I’ve tried several other classes) could teach better. When I saw Living Social advertising a Zumba class on River Road, I thought I would check it out. I truly LOVE it!!! I REALLY like the Tues/Thurs morning classes.
Zumba was the first time that I heard about Proformance Fitness…. This class gave me the opportunity to get in shape for my wedding on 11/11/11. I have never worked out in a group setting before so I was a little afraid and intimidated. I felt welcomed and inspired once I arrived. Even though I was far from on point with all of the movements both of the instructors were encouraging and willing to assist. Proformance Fitness has changed the way I feel about exercise and have motivated me to make fitness a part of my life.
Bert Kremer is very knowledgeable about exercise physiology and the specifics of focused training for a specific muscle group, he has helped my 17 year old son’s conditioning and has helped me at 52 years old, become a more fit marathoner. He uses not only free weights, but every imaginable training tool and system at ProFormance Fitness which targets the right muscles and challenges even the most seasoned athlete. I can strongly recommend Bert Kremer and ProFormance Fitness to anyone interested in achieving a higher level of fitness and conditioning.

My entire life I have worked out the way most people have by running/walking and the occasional weight lifting… I never knew what a real work out was until I started boot camp with Micah! 3 days a week at boot camp is the only way to go…It is a fun, energetic, constantly changing class where I physically challenge myself-something other than a typical boring gym work out- and it has truly transfomred me. I worked out with her during my pregnancy and I know it helped me tremendously, PLUS thanks to Micah I am back to my pre-baby weight after a few short months! I am addicted to her training and this boot camp class and I highly recommend it to all. One happy girl here- Many many thanks!

There is no comparison between working out for and hour by yourself and working out for and hour with Cary Cox, regardless of what you know or how motivated you are. Cary has a gift for knowing how to push you, how to motivate you, and knows your limits before you even do. You will be surprised when the hour is up, and amazed of what you have done. No matter what condition you are in-Cary will be able to help you and will take you where you want to go. You will get fit, you will have more energy, and you will be healthier.
